Langtang region treks are the closest Himalayan County from Kathmandu main city neighbouring to Tibet and easily accessible area for the tourists. Just a few hours’ drive from Kathmandu to the region, where you will see the wonderful snow capped Himalayans and eye appealing glaciers of Langtang Lirung, Dorje Lakpa, Ganesh Himal and Manaslu. All Trekking trails are walking through the Langtang National Park; Langtang Valley is as wild as Tibetan highlands with peaceful villages and farmlands of its people, most of them are Tibetan origin. Throughout the trek, you will have wonderful chance to see amazing mountain, peaks, river, plants, animals and birds.
Trekking to these routes is an opportunity to enter into the secret land exposing the Tibetan Buddhism, maintaining rich cultural heritage evident in ornately carved wooden windows, lively dance festivals, and skilled weaving traditions.
Access to Gosaikunda and Helambu is very quick and easy while trekking from Sundarijal, the nearest point for trekking from Kathmandu. However, for Tamang culture trail and Langtang valley trail, the starts and ends point would be at SHYABRU.
